Protected Employees

Certain employees (in particular, employees who stood as candidates in the social elections, members of the trade union delegation and the prevention advisor) enjoy far-reaching protection against dismissal. In order to dismiss them, a special procedure must be followed.

Acknowledgement of the reasons for dismissal will have to be obtained in advance - depending on the case - from the competent joint committee of the sector and from the labour court.
