Kaat Van Der Schueren, Associate
I handle all legal questions from organizations in the not-for-profit and social profit sector. My clients are associations, foundations, social enterprises, impact investors as well as Belgian and international companies. I advise them on statutes, internal regulations, governance, mergers and demergers, investments, (credit) agreements, etc.
In 2022, I obtained my master's degree in law from KULeuven (magna cum laude) with a focus on public law, European and international law and corporate law. After this, I completed a master's degree in political science (magna cum laude), inspired by my keen interest in what moves in society. As part of this, I did an internship at the Permanent Representation of Belgium for the United Nations in New York. Since October 2023, I specialize at Aurion in advising associations and companies in the non-profit and social profit sector, with my societal commitment as my guiding principle.
