Aurion is proud to welcome Simon Van Eekert and Celie Huybens

With his PhD thesis on extracontractual liability for harm resulting from environmental fear, defended on 6 January 2026, Simon Van Eekert has established himself as an outstanding legal scholar and an expert in liability law. Over the past months, Simon has already put his expertise into practice for the benefit of not-for-profit organizations and public authorities. He has a particular interest in environmental and climate (liability) matters. Aurion is delighted to now be able to offer this expertise to its clients.
 
Over the past years, Celie Huybens has built up a proven expertise as a policy advisor, with a particular focus on social dialogue, social enterprises, and the just transition. Celie looks forward to bringing her knowledge and experience to Aurion to strategically and purposefully advise associations, foundations, and social enterprises.
